The creative challenge involved creating a campaign that celebrates Disney’s 100th Anniversary. In a team of two, we approached this with the concept of incorporating well-known Disney phrases ‘once upon a time’ and ‘dreams come true’ by highlighting real career aspirations that have been met implying that Disney gives us hope. This is seen through a moving image advert following a young girl playing with a superhero toy who eventually grows into a doctor. The superhero links to Disney’s Marvel franchise and signifies her goals of becoming a hero by saving lives. Similarly, through a series of posters, young vs old iconic Disney characters and its style are seen side by side with their ‘once upon a time’ story illustrating their growth into their dream jobs. Lastly, a mobile application celebrates 100 years of Disney by introducing 90s and 00s magazine elements for a nostalgia factor. The app includes quizzes, recipes, games and more which can learn the users’ experience and provide hyper relevant products.
